Research data services A-Z
Personal storage space (home drive for employees)
The personal storage space (home drive) service offers you personal online storage at Leipzig University for storing files of all kinds. Access is only possible personally and not for third parties. By storing your files on Leipzig University’s home drive, they are always available online on connected end devices.
Procurement support for hardware
The URZ helps you to procure different hardware. We advise you on the various options available to you. Often there are framework agreements that facilitate the acquisition of hardware.
Research data archiving
As part of good scientific practice at the University of Leipzig, it is essential for research projects to ensure secure and sustainable archiving of the research data produced. The Research Data Archiving service at the URZ directly supports research projects in their efforts to conduct good research by providing the option of permanently archiving research data in the connected long-term repository OpARA. Here, research data can be published, archived and re-used.
Advanced course: Data organisation
Data organisation made easy: The basis for good handling of research data is the organisation of project-related data sets. In this course, you will learn about strategies that will help you to store, save and share your data in a structured way.
Advanced course: Publishing and finding research data
Publish your well-documented and sufficiently described primary research data in research data repositories so that they are easy to find in future. We will show you where and how to be optimally prepared so that you don't have to despair over the question of the DOI for your research data when submitting your manuscript.
Basic course in research data management for students
As a student, am I actually responsible for the good management of my generated or used research data for my thesis? In the basic research data management course, you will learn what is necessary for this and which aspects need to be considered.
Basic course: Research data management for medicine and natural sciences
Discover how you can efficiently categorise, store, archive and publish data to make your research future-proof and sustainable in the basic course on research data management for medicine/natural sciences. The workshop-style classroom course is designed to be interactive and is aimed at all researchers in the relevant disciplines.
