Before starting your studies, Leipzig University offers preparatory courses in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and economics. The preparatory courses are an opportunity for you to refresh the mathematics you learned at school and prepare specifically for your studies together with other first-year students.
Preparatory Courses Before Your Degree
A bridge course in mathematics is available for new chemistry students. The course is voluntary and designed to refresh your school-level knowledge. More details about the preparatory course are available on the Faculty of Chemistry and Mineralogy website.
Are you beginning a degree at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science? Has it been a while since you left school, or was maths perhaps not your strongest subject? Our preparatory maths course gives you an opportunity to refresh some important areas of school-level maths before you start studying.
The Institute of Computer Science also offers an introductory course, giving you an overview of key concepts and methods of computer science.
The times of the courses are scheduled in such a way that it is possible to attend both courses.
