Abstract
Roman Krawielicki is head of the Science Communication Department at the Leipzig Research Centre Global Dynamics.
He coordinates the centre's communication measures as well as the outreach activities of the participating research projects. With his colleagues, he is constantly working on innovative transfer formats - for example, as part of the annual GLOBE science festival or for the science portal "CrossArea", which is currently being developed and was awarded the DFG's Community Prize for International Research Marketing in 2021.
As a contemporary historian, he was initially involved in a research project on the final phase of the Cold War at the Collaborative Research Centre 923 "Threatened Orders. Societies under Stress" before switching to science communication in 2015. There he developed several successful outreach formats - such as the virtual exhibition "bedrohte-ordnungen.de" (nominated for a Grimme Online Award in 2019).
