Introduction to Theoretical Philosophy
On the basis of three historical stages, namely Aristotle's Metaphysics, Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, the lecture develops the concept of philosophy as pure cognition, i.e. as an explication of that cognition which is contained in the ability of reason in the sense that everyone who has this ability possesses precisely with it the cognition in question.
-
Introduction to the didactics of philosophy and ethics
Based on relevant texts by Wilhelm von Humboldt, John Dewey, Theodor Litt and Anselm Müller, the lecture discusses the fundamental question of what upbringing and education are and how they are anchored in human life.
-
Specialization in practical philosophy
The lecture develops the concept of practical knowledge as the knowledge of good and evil. In this contrast, what otherwise appears as the relation of a reality to its associated privation, defect, lack, becomes sharpened into a contradictory opposition. The lecture explores this unlimited negativity of the human being on the basis of texts by Aristotle, Kant, Hegel and Luther.
