On 2 July, the philosopher Luca Illetterati will give his inaugural lecture as Leibniz Professor at the University of Leipzig.

The German-language inaugural lecture by Prof. Luca Illetterati on the topic “Die Natur denken: zwischen Naturkritik und Naturbegriff. Zeitgenössische Fragen im Dialog mit der klassischen deutschen Philosophie.” will take place on 2 July at 18:00 in the “Alter Senatssaal” (Ritterstr. 26). All participants are invited to a reception after the lecture.

  • Prof. Luca Illetterati is Professor of Theoretical Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education and Applied Psychology at the University of Padua. Illetterati was also President of the Italian Society of Theoretical Philosophy, of the Centro d'Arte degli Studenti dell’ Università di Padova and of the Direction Committee of the Galilean School for Higher Education. He is a member of the Board of the International Hegel Association and of the International Schelling Association. Furthermore, he has held numerous visiting professorships and fellowships, including as a visiting professor at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. In the summer semester 2024 he is Leibniz Professor at Leipzig University.
