Abstract
Prof. Dr. phil. Christian W. Glück helds the professorship on Speech - Language - Communication Pathology, Therapy and Support in Education. Together with his team he focuses on the education for people with speech, language and communication deficits. The quality of education and support in elementary, primary and secondary schools, the improvement of educational quality through professionalisation and the development of language, communication, cognition and socio-emotional abilities are hot topics in the professorship workgroup.
Major results are available of the longitudinal study "Ki.SSES" (children with specific language impairment), of the development of assessment tools für mono- and bilingual children and youth (WWT 6-10, LSI.J) and of our studies on collaboration of general teachers and special education teachers resp. speech-language therapists. Prof. Glück is chair of the Saxony State Center of Competency in ECEC-Language Support (LakoS).
