Abstract
Iris Bauer is research fellow within Slavic literary and cultural studies (focus: West Slavic studies). She studied West Slavic studies at the universities of Leipzig, Prague, Wrocław and Warsaw. For her master thesis she received the ‚Georg R. Schroubek Reward‘ of the Schroubek-Fond Eastern Europe in 2016. After studies she was research fellow in the project „Cultural Icons of East Central Europe. The afterlife of the Age of Romanticism“ at Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) in Leipzig and then PhD scholar at Aleksander Brückner Center for Polish Studies in Halle. In 2022 she obtained her doctorate with the thesis „Female bombers, killers and rebells – Transgression in the Arena of Heteronormativity. Maria Janions Transgressions and the Transgressive Heroines in Sylwia Chtuniks „Kieszkonkowy atlas kobiet" (2008)"
