Abstract
Since June 2021 Benedikt Haupt works as a research associate at the Institute for Communication and Media Studies at the University of Leipzig. Beforehand he studied Media Communication (B.A.) and digital Media and Communication Cultures (M.A.) at the Chemnitz University of Technology. During his studies he worked as a student research assistant in the project 'Miteinander' as well as later at the professorship of Sociology of Visual Communication and Media. After graduating he received as scholarship at the CRC 1410 - Hybrid Societies.
At the University of Leipzig he is now a part of the team working on the futurehomestories project.

Co-Designing for the Smart Home (WS22/23) - Research Module Digital Media and Networked Communication Practices II (Master's program in Communication and Media Studies)
The focus of seminar is on exploring methods for co-designing digital technologies. These stimulate creativity and enable participation in the innovation of digital technologies. The seminar focuses on the smart home, as a place of application of numerous and diverse technologies. Concepts of the smart home are critically reflected upon as well as an understanding of participatory methods is developed. Students explore the tools and apply them in their own research projects.
