Come to this three-hour workshop at the Academic Lab to get all the tools you need to write your next research paper. We will cover essentials of academic writing like word order and style, resources for writing research papers, and the structure and language of the individual sections of a paper.

Have you written lots in your native language, but maybe you’re new to writing in English? Or maybe you’ve written some essays or papers already, but would like to bring your writing to the next level? Well, either way, this workshop is bound to provide new insight into the world of academic writing and give you the tools you need to write your next research paper in English. We will start with a short needs analysis and look at resources for writing research papers in English. Then we will cover the most important aspects of writing in English such as paragraphing, word order, and style. And we will also take time to focus on the sections of a research paper and discuss the structure and language in these sections. The workshop will include hands-on exercises and student samples. Join us to prepare yourself and get the tools you need to write a successful research paper.
