The Research Training Group "FUNCTION OF ATTENTION IN COGNITION"
invites students for application for 2 plus 1 year doctoral-scholarship with starting date in December 2012. The successful applicant for this scholarship holds a degree in either Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Neurobiology or Neurolinguistics and has fluent English skills in word and writing. Applications should be sent no later than April 15, 2012 to the address below.
Each doctoral student will work in an interdisciplinary research project and will be jointly supervised by two faculty members of the program. Ph.D. theses will be related to research projects dealing either with emotion, sensory integration or audition and language. The focus of all projects is on processes of attentional resource allocation on different levels, ranging from perception to communication. The projects are situated in the interdisciplinary fields of cognitive or affective neuroscience and employ state-of-the-art methodological tools such as EEG/MEG, fMRI and TMS.
