GESI is dedicated to teaching and research in the field of Globalization and Europeanization. The work carried out at GESI lies at the intersection of several disciplines and interprets global processes analytically.

The Institute is one of the pioneers of graduate education in the relatively young field of Global Studies and offers the international MA program Global Studies as well as the MA in European Studies in cooperation with universities worldwide.
